A few Canada Geese were spotted at Lake Sebasticook in Newport this afternoon. Pulling into the rest area we were surprised to see Canada Geese dotting the lake surface. There were way to many to try to count. A welcomed sight for sure. I’d like to share a few photos I took there. Except for the two Mallards at the bottom of first two photos, all the black dots in the water are Canada Geese!
At the time the sun was trying to shine, thunder could be heard in the distance as quick showers of rain fell.
“During summer, and increasingly at other times of year, Canada Geese are fairly easy to see, swimming in open water, resting near shore, or grazing on lawns or farm fields. They are often heard flying above, by day or night; if you study their honks you may notice the difference by sound when other species of geese or swans are flying.” Source: All About Birds.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have enjoyed my photographs and videos, do come back again soon. Comments are always welcomed.
