Daily Photo 188 – Morning ride… I’m sharing some photos I took this morning on our ride. Today wasn’t a fabulous day but it wasn’t bad either.
My first photo is of a single Common Loon as it quickly moved along the Kennebec River in Skowhegan. I didn’t see it dive, just swam by me repeating a soft call. The river looked high and quite muddy, more than likely from all the rain we got over the past couple of days.
Camera: Nikon D7100 with Nikon 18-200 mm lens. Settings: 1/1600 sec at f/5.6, ISO 720. Focal Length: 24 mm.
Manual Mode. Hand held. Processed with Lightroom
Driving through Benton we spied this huge nest. Looks like it would be an interesting story to know the builder and if was actually used! We saw no activity around it. But down the power line we could see another nest normal in size and a Osprey I believe was in it.
On the way home and only a couple roads over from our house we were surprised to see this Doe step out into the dirt road. Hubby stopped the vehicle and I jumped out to snap a couple photos. She stood starring at us for a several seconds and then ran across the road and disappeared in the woods.
Thank you for stopping by. Your comments are always welcome!
Take a look see at what my friend Gladys in N.C. has posted for her 365 day photos!
Every day may not be good, but there’s something good in every day!
