Daily Photo 242 – Bald Eagle. This afternoon we decided to take a ‘ride around the block’ before going into Newport for some groceries.
At the Corinna Boardwalk I was standing on the bank looking down on the small stream. A fish about 8 inches with a white belly jumped and flipped in the air before disappearing into the water. Just as quickly as that fish disappeared, in the sky a large bird appeared headed towards me. I was surprised to see it was a mature Bald Eagle and started snapping photos.
Below are three of what I would say were the better shots. Looking at my settings after the fact I’m surprised they came out at all. 🙄
Camera: Nikon D7100 with Nikon 18-200 mm lens. Settings: 1/400 sec at f/9, +0.3, ISO 220. Focal Length: 200 mm.
Manual Mode. Hand held. Processed with Lightroom
