Daily Photo 285 – Rain and leaves! I was lost today as to what I would do for my daily photo. The day had pretty much passed, it was 3PM and I had yet taken a photo.
Noticing a small group of turkeys in the lower field, I set up the tripod, put the Nikon D7100 with Sigma lens on and focused. But with the rain coming down pretty heavy and the wind hollering it was not to be a decent photograph.
I glanced down at our deck and noticed two fallen leaves, one laying flat and one stuck in the crevice. It was something different and I snapped off four different photos using four different settings. After uploading to my computer I noticed the rain drops on the Oak leaf showed best on this capture. I also like how you can see bubbles of rain on the stem. My daily photo was chosen!
The two darker ‘stripes’ on the deck are the reflections from the railings in the water on the deck. What do you think of my photo?
Nikon D7100 with Sigma 150-500 mm lens. Settings: 1/50 sec at f/8, ISO 400. Focal Length: 150 mm.
