Essex Woods, a beautiful Sunday morning walk results in a relaxing photographing time! I arrived at the Bangor, Maine bog a little later than I had planned and was delighted to find the Egrets in the open part. It is a challenge to get clear shots at this location because of the grown up vegetation. Noticing an Egret on my side of the walking trail close to the shoreline, I focused and snapped. I went as close as I dared not wanting to scare it off in flight. I snapped just about 5 shots when it flew as well as another that wasn’t in my view. A human walker was coming up the path towards me. 🙁 I turned back to photograph the other Egrets and yep they flew off as well. They went down to the scrubby section of the bog where photos could not be snapped.
Don’t forget you can click on any photo for a larger view. A slideshow will pop up for you.
I did not notice this Green Heron until I looked at the photo I had taken of the Egret!
Some color at the bog.
These two were flying together so I am thinking Male and Female Yellow-Rumped Warbler.
Other wildlife sighted this morning at Essex Woods.
There were many Mallards throughout the bog, below are a few shots I captured.
That covers my Sunday morning walk at Essex Woods. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have enjoyed my photographs and videos, do come back again soon. Comments are always welcomed.
